Talespun is a story-telling and fibbing game….. great at a party, as an icebreaker, or at a more intimate gathering. As you play, you’ll learn more about your friends, family, coworkers, romantic partner… as well as yourself. A full game extends an hour to 90 minutes and involves short stories from a randomly spun category, such as family, growth, friendship, romance, conflict, fear, balance, sadness, joy, death, mystery, and adventure… stories which may or may not be entirely true, and each player must attempt to discern which stories contain fibs in order to advance.

–As the creator of Talespun, I made this game to hear more of the amazing stories others have to tell. I believe each person has something I can learn from, and stories can be a doorway to that kind of connection. I am also passionate about community-building — and I’ve found that stories, laughter and a little bit of vulnerability are key ingredients for building ties. In the design, I endeavored to select story categories that are important to each of us and that we enjoy hearing others tell, while leaving plenty of room for flexibility and creativity in the imagery which serves to spark memories for the storytellers. I hope you enjoy, as I have, seeing folks light up as they tell stories and fibs from their life, adding new dimensions you might have never otherwise seen.
